Rain water drain pipe reconstruction procedure (RFS) for the sealing of rain water drain pipes by hose relining

Area of operation

The starline®RFS technology is an economical sealing procedure for rain water drain pipes and gutters located on the inside and outside of buildings which are difficult to access or not to be replaced because the building is classified as a historical monument. The procedure prevents waste, noise and pollutants emissions.

The following nominal diameters are currently available (other nominal diameters available on request): 

  • DN 40; 
  • DN 50; 
  • DN 80; 
  • DN 100/105; 
  • DN 125/130; 
  • DN 150/155; 
  • DN 200/215; 
  • DN 250/265; 
  • DN 300/315 
  • and DN 380/400 
It is also possible to line the pipes with fabric or felt material that has been coated with epoxy resin.

Pipes made of all metal materials, asbestos cement, concrete, and stoneware can be lined.

Machine for the reconstruction of rain water drain pipes

TV camera inspections in regular intervals confirmed the successful result of the repair works. 

The adjacent walls and soil respectively, are cured and the hose bonds firmly to the pipeline walls. 

There are no sediments visible in the area around reconstructed bends.
