starline®3000UV

The starline®3000 UV Sewer Rehabilitation with the Brandenburger Liner

Compared to traditional renewal and rehabilitation of sewage systems, the starline®3000 UV technology offers decisive benefits.
Today's state-of-the-art is eliminating the need to dig trenches because efficiency, fastness, and eco friendliness of the trenchless rehabilitation procedures are unbeatable.

Based on the UVA light curing technique, using professional technology, the seamless Brandenburger GRP Liner cures to a "pipe in pipe".

Due to simple preparatory works and extremely short curing times of the UVA light curing system, the rehabilitation projects require very little time while energy consumption and styrene emissions are reduced to a minimum.

Rehabilitations of up to 150 meters sewer pipes can be easily performed within one workday.

High loading capacity

Due to its extremely high glass-fibre content and unique seamless design, the Brandenburger Liner is particularly high in strength and accordingly offers excellent mechanical values. Therefore, the liner meets the static requirements in applications involving old pipes in states I - III in accordance with ATV-M 127 Part 2.

Regulations for static measurement according to DIBt Approval No. Z-42.3-330:

Short-time tensile bending stress:

150 N/mm²
Long-time tensile bending stress:
95 N/mm²
Short-time modulus of elasticity:
9000 N/mm² on average
Long-time modulus of elasticity:
5625 N/mm² on average
At a given liner wall thickness, the carrying capacity of Brandenburger Liners is about 100% higher than that of regular needled felt laminated liners. As a result of the superior material properties, static calculations allow for smaller liner wall thicknesses (calculated by Dr. Niemann Consulting Engineers for Structural Statics, Heidelberg/Schwetzingen).

Resistance to mechanical abrasion has been successfully proven in high-pressure scavenging tests. This high resistance was also confirmed in tipping trough tests with 300,000 cycles at the University of Darmstadt, Germany.

The Karl Weiss Group applies the Brandenburger Liner up to a nominal width of 18" (DN 450) in Germany. Sewer rehabilitation projects from 20" (DN 500) are currently conducted in cooperation with Brandenburger Liner GmbH.
