Microtunneling |
|
In their anniversary year 1996, Karl Weiss introduced the trenchless, remote-controlled, underground laying of drain channels, called microtunneling.
We acquired the state-of-the-art equipment of the Herrenknecht advance system. This machine created the technical basis for pipe feeding from a nominal width of DN 250 up to an external pipe diameter of 1800 mm using flush conveyance. Therefore, the pipes can be fed well over the normal lengths of the reach of the pipeline.

A new control system allows us to recognize deviations of the driving head early on so that reaction times are reduced and control movements are carried out more promptly.
With the use of different feeding heads and equipment, the nominal widths DN 250 and DN 300 can be fed from press shafts DN 2000 with pipe lengths of 1 m as well as from shafts DN 3200 with lengths of 2 m. These different possibilities are very significant because the above mentioned diameters cover a large part of all channels. At present, an experienced team continuously works with this technology in all types of soils, as well as at ground water level and delivers a high-quality performance. |
