In the beginning, the development of new trenchless technologies for rehabilitation and replacement or laying of new pressure pipelines was carried out for our own construction needs.
This development work focussed on the needs of our customers, Berlin Water Works and Berlin Gas Works (GASAG). Both companies had recognized the need for new trenchless technologies in inner city areas.
After many years of intensive and costly development, the starline® and the hydros® technologies emerged ready for the market.
These procedures have proved their efficiency over many years in operation in the greater Berlin area. Group of Karl Weiss recognized the enormous potential of these procedures for operation outside the greater Berlin area.
The two technologies are licensed abroad. The performance of the procedures can be witnessed in national and international demonstration projects. There are already a number of licensees for the procedures abroad.
